I'm still kind of passively awed by the satisfaction of training in fighting games. I clicked on heads for like a gazillion hours in Counter-Strike and it's anyone's guess whether I ever got any better at clicking on heads. Meanwhile I can sit down in Strive like "okay, my left-facing TK Bad Moon is still kinda sloppy and inconsistent" and after just practicing the motion in a vacuum for a bit, I can already see it coming out more reliably. I'm still trash, but I'm measurably less trash than I was twenty minutes ago

niiice! and you're totally right... i was thinking the other day about how i've played quite a few shooters and never really gotten better at aiming? meanwhile in strive i've been able to figure out like, okay, if i do this motion with my fingers, my cancel into 632146H comes out way more consistently and i can actually feel the difference

I've just started trying to play Strive again after liking the game but hardly ever putting in much time at all, and yeah, that aspect really is amazing. It's the first fighting game where I've crossed the bridge to starting to actually understand what's happening and trying to really learn. I'm loving it. By the way, XX Accent Core Plus R is 77% off on Steam right now (ends up being $3.44 USD at least) and ArcSys has added rollback and stuff to it if you're interested. I've liked what I've played of that so far too.

I relate on the CS point so hard too, haha. I have 2,339 hours (ouch) in CS2 on my main account and I'm still awful. To be fair, most of the time has just been spent messing around with friends, but still! :D

Oh yeah haha, I picked up +R a while back. I've messed around in it a little, but not enough to really get anywhere (ultimately what really spurs me on in a fighting game is having friends to play with regularly, so Strive it is)
