I'm really glad my earlobes are capable of holding up to mild stress, because ever since I got them pierced I've had numerous occasions where I've accidentally caught the piercings on clothing, or yanked on them while combing my hair. And every time, there's a quarter of a second where my brain is like "okay, we need to be mentally prepared for the possibility that there is about to be a shitload of blood"
