would it be incredibly stupid and unnecessary for me to build a hitbox using only keyboard buttons, for the minuscule eventuality of playing Strive on a non-PC platform? yes.
am I still enchanted by the idea? oh yes

fighting games are unique insofar as they are the only context in which someone can wear clothing featuring the union jack without me worrying they're about to air some spectacularly rancid thoughts on poor people
yes, the Metro City trains are dirty, and yes, you will have to fight for a seat, but you'll never have to wait on the platform, so who can say if they are good or bad
Tried the demo for Vividlope and I think I'm a fan. Step on all the tiles once, try not to step on any tiles twice. Sort of like solving a traveling salesman problem in real-time, but with enemies to keep you on your toes. Lovely Y2K aesthetic too.
You don't have to solve the levels perfectly, but it is very tempting to go for it. The game even slows down and enters a 'no time pressure' mode for the last few tiles, so you can figure out a correct solution at your leisure—as long as you haven't already fucked yourself over by that point.
The screenshots are all from the store page because when I press F12 in-game it brings up some kind of debug feature, oops
