postifying this comment cuz i think it's important

building things on here feels like creative mischief. doing things you're not supposed to and making art at the same time. this site is amazing in it's feedback loop. you can build things and random people will actually see it, without needing to build a following. the audience is very accessible, the barrier of entry is low. it feels amazing when you've spent the time to build something cool or fun or beautiful, and you see that other people have seen it too. and without numbers, there's no way to say "oh, only 5 people have seen my thing", or whatever. there's no numbers on sight, and the details get lost in the notifications tab.

although people aren't actually sharing the bbs thing as much. i think i've finally built something so non-post-like that people forget it's a post that you can like/share. :D

yeah I find i'm spending a lot of time on some posts here too. the last zine took me about 6 hours to get the layout perfect, then try a bunch of different mobile options. i actually have a code editor on a non-work computer now too which is a huge self-own.
