I was having a difficult time getting my brain to accept any placeholder graphics I made for the map tiles in Ellie Kazam's Infinite Polycule even with an explicitly written brief of "just make sure you can tell what is grass and what is road",, so I decided to borrow a trick I've learned from watching the Drawfee artists, which is doing something in the "wrong" color so that you can just shrug and move on.

Not only did it work, but now that I look at it, I'm not sure that the final palette for the game won't have a kind of dream-like vaporwave aesthetic for the landscape instead of greens and browns. It's something I'm definitely thinking about.
