i don't know what this phenomenon is called, but i can't find anybody else naming it anything either, so i'll just call it domain rebracketing. it's when someone registers the domain "experts exchange .com" but, in the absence of spaces to delimit the intended words, your eye may be drawn to other possible word boundaries.
it's a classic internet pasttime imo, so it's a little strange that it doesn't have a canonical name. maybe i simply can't find it because of the enshittification of search. i think expert sex change is the classic example that people know, but there is a litany of classics.
anyway i found a novel one today!
beats per minute online .com?
more like,
beat sperm i nut eon line
if you permit me one measly letter of anagrammy in this url, we can get "beat sperm i nut online .come" which features a v underrated variant spelling of cum, that i feel like people are sleeping on, and probably for petty aesthetic reasons. but moving letters is cheating in the domain rebracketing game, so it remains but a footnote
