this is a very strange question but i do actually have an answer, though it's cheating: the two Nintendo Power issues that each contained one half of a walkthrough for Crystalis on NES.

I remember that one month that there were only two games coming out for the amiga so all the magazines had to make do with an extremely limited review section - so Amiga Power decided, instead of going with a thinner magazine, to just use the space to run a 20 page feature on the JFK assassination.
Thank you very much.
From what I see one of the issues was Issue 14 - July/August 1990, but do you by any chance remember which was the other?
One before (#13) seems to be all Mario and one after (#15) seems to be all Ninja Gaiden; I did find some more in #19, in a Councillors' Corner
we had a Nintendo Power subscription for most of the 90s, we were very lucky. However, i do NOT remember this one! Damn! Crystalis was so hard! I should watch a playthrough on YT to see how it ends (i'm not smart or sneaky enough to figure out emulation, sadly)
