about a month ago someone shared this very small picture, out of context:
and maybe you are from tumblr so you know what this is. but pretend for just a second that you are me and you (i) don't immediately recognize it. instead i (you) see a very tiny 2-pixel wide gradient and you (me) think to myself,
hmm, i wonder what that is. maybe i can expand it so as to get a better look.
immediately my brain makes the connection that i primed you with at the top of this post (remember, you (me) are pretending to not know the punchline) and refuses to let me see it as anything else, even though i know it can't be that because it's just a bit too much of a reach. so ok, whatever.
anyway, as it turns out,
it's a "do you love the colour of the sky" joke. not a bad one at that:
see for yourself! on tumblr.com
i knew about DYLtCotS and its legacy, but i never used tumblr enough to develop the allergic reaction to seeing these colours on a feed. so as a result, now we may all benefit from the knowledge that rouge the bat is do you love the colour of the sky coloured the colour of the sky is rouge
