hey! been seeing a lot of ppl asking how to put video links in their posts without the link below the video. mainly for aesthetic purposes or if they have like a long discord link or something. the simplest way to do that is this: (examples below "read more")

<div style="
  aspect-ratio: <ASPECT RATIO i.e. 16 / 9 or 9 / 16>;
  max-width: 100%;
  max-height: 70vh;
  overflow: hidden;
  margin: 0 auto;
">

<VIDEO LINK HERE>

</div>

for a normal horizontal video the aspect ratio is going to be 16 / 9. for a standard vertical video it'll be 9 / 16. another usual ones is 4 / 3.

from what I can tell at least this is the best way to do it, the reason you need max-width: 100% is for a horizontal video and the reason you need max-height: 70vh; is because iframely cuts off vertical videos to have a max height of about 70% of the viewport (from what I can tell)

this doesn't handle more advanced video crimes but I think this should work in general. please lmk if it does not and I can edit this post

also: this seems really simple but if yall want a code generator for this it shouldn't be too hard idk

here are a few examples put after the "read more":

this may not work anymore, also I'm p sure I figured out a much more consice way of doing it but I forgot how to honestly if it's a youtube link then I would recommend having the link showing, i think that's more in line with the websites culture nowadays
