ok so.

title tags, which is what is being used here, is specifically for titles / other information that expands upon points made in the content.

alt tags, which is NOT what is being used here, is specifically so that the content can be experienced by people using alternate forms of accessing it, such as screen readers.

they are two different things, used for different purposes. x is using the title tags correctly and for their intended purpose.

and from one person who gets cranky about ableism to another, you're absolutely not going to get anywhere with anyone with your second paragraph - either people care, in which case you're grumping to the wrong person; or they do not care, in which case you're giving a jerk exactly what they asked for. you do you of course, but what i do is just say what i have to say and if someone is an ass about it, i send them a picture of a guy holding his butt open (or similar old timey internet punishments).
