I don't know why, but for some reason when a video or podcast is just way too quiet, it manages to borderline infuriate me. I'd rather you err on the side of being on the loud side because at least then I can turn the volume down. I can't turn my volume up past 100% here.

You don't gotta be afraid of blowing my headphones out. I can manage that on my end. Slightly too loud is perfect. If I'm cranking my volume just to hear you and some other sound on my system plays, that will blow my headphones out.

I sometimes wonder if it's just a case of people setting their broadcast volume where they'd be setting the volume on their audio output device. Think about it, ideally the audio playing goes louder than what your system's volume is set to.

Like, sometimes I'll find a smaller streamer who is whisper quiet because they have their volume set way too low and it's damn near impossible to convince them to actually turn it up. They'll bump it up by maybe a couple points and ask if that's good, when what I'm asking is for them to be like, 50-80% louder.
