i don't think i can do tiktok anymore it's too much (single tear running down my cheek as i stare into the distance) why has the general public's view of celtic studies stuff not moved on since like the 80's. i know i wanted to dispell misconceptions but tiktok is honestly not a great platform for me. i prefer making text posts so most of my videos are just text with background and some music. but i have gotten more attention on tiktok which is good i guess bc it means i can reach more people. but the character limit on tiktok comments is so so small that i feel like it doesn't allow for actual discussions or nuanced explanations. maybe someone with a higher tolerance for The Internet TM would be better to do this than me. i just can't stand all the misconceptions around the celtic nations, and the co-opting (is that the right word?) of various aspects of celtic identity by the far right. i just don't think the app works for me at all.
tumblr is ok and would be my second choice if there weren't certain celticists on there that i dislike for various reasons (some of which are admittedly very petty. but some of which aren't).
