In case it's not clear, that's just the kanji for "egg" and "bug"

(torn between this and insectoeuf, but I think having the entire "insecte" word in there is the better choice)

smallcreature
@smallcreature

I would go with insectœuf because insecteuf reminds me of titeuf

Fríd an ubh, very literally. I don't know if there's a cuter way to render it, my Irish isn't good enough.

sundry
@sundry

I feel like ubhfhríd works? Would be pronounced sort of like uv-reed

edit: wait maybe uibhfhríd for caol le caolness

wybryfyn? wypryfyn? not sure if the mutation is always necessary when combining words. or just pryfyn wy??

inniu, rinne mé an aimsir láithreach agus an aimsir fháistineach gaeilge. rinne mé nótaí i mo leabhar nótaí athbhreithnithe nua, agus d'úsáid mé dathanna difriúla le haghaidh codanna difriúil an bhriathair, mar shampla an deireadh, an séimhiú, an urú, agus araile :) bhí sé an-spraoi :)

tá mé ag triail níos mó i ngaeilge a scríobh

i know that books and stories in general often need conflict in order to actually have a stoey, but god that doesn't stop me getting secondhand embarrassment? anxiety?? when it happens. irl i find even very minor conflict very stressful and upsetting, and it's not as difficult for me to deal with in a book but augh. still dreading reading these next chapters of this book bc i skipped ahead a little and know they have like one (1) line of argument lol. not even that, one character just gets upset by the other and leaves, and the other character is left feeling angry.
