maybe i'll just live on my own website now, although it is lonely there.

maybe cohost closing will actually give me a push to actually finish migrating my sites off neocities.

i think the answer for me though is that i should probably spend less time online.

weird to see people migrating their stuff to tumblr/twitter/mastodon when i deleted my accounts on those platforms bc i found them unbearable to post here instead.

very angry and upset at the state of the internet that we are all pushed towards bigger social media, in particular twitter/instagram/facebook, and that smaller social media like cohost struggle to survive, and in cases like cohost they can no longer survive.

i'm looking at my links on my site, and i've realised i don't really have an alternative to move to now that cohost is closing. my dreamwidth journal i guess?? or maybe i'll find something new out there.

for now, here's my personal site. my celtic studies site, celtic studies journal, and mechcommander/battletech fansite are all linked on the home page. i have other links at the top of my links page. i'll put my discord in the private contact info in my description, but i'm not really active on discord.

edit 11/09/24 - i now have an rss feed for my site that you can subscribe to!!
