did you know that if you can't drive and want to travel between aberystwyth and camarthen by train, then you have to take one of these two routes that goes out of wales and into england and then back into wales, and will take either 6 and a half hours or over 7 hours, even though it only takes 1 hour and 20 minutes to drive directly between the two towns? did you also know that there used to be a direct line between aberystwyth and camarthen but they closed it in the 60's? this is because the uk sucks and everything is so england-centric.

(the non-highlighted route on the rail maps is the bus route, which takes almost twice the amont of time as driving by car and also i can't use it bc of travel sickness)

man, conservatives really do care more about your unborn children than you, even when you're not pregnant and have absolutely no plans on ever having children. these "children" aren't even embryos and you're worrying about them more than me. they just don't exist at all. not even conceptually in a "i want to have children one day" kind of way.

also side note, but i hate it when people say "oh you might change your mind in the future". people only ever say that to people who don't want children, no-one ever says that to people who do want children. even though surely everyone is capable of changing their minds. anyway.

working through intermediate welsh: a grammar and workbook and it's a bit of a slog, bc the later chapters are what i actually need to revise but i wanted to start at the beginning bc it feels wrong to leave the first ones out.

some things i'm really looking forward to this month/next month are the new university year, starting back at my wind bands and orchestra, and starting chinese classes :)
