hey man, how's it going? What's up?
To be honest comic sans, I've been a bit down lately.
Aw, damn, what's wrong?
It's just, I think I'm getting impostor syndrome.
sus?
What?
Sorry, I mean, continue.
It just feels like I don't deserve to be as well regarded as I am. Everybody knows my name, but some font people have said really mean things about me. It feels like my popularity is all a fraud.
Ah, look man, you just can't listen to what people say sometimes. Everybody hates me but I keep on going!
Only people who don't know you hate you! Type experts understand that you have a niche, right? You're readable, you're fun and unprofessional, and sometimes that's the right thing to be! What do I have?
Dude, you're the serif font! You're the default in all sorts of places! There isn't a kid in school who hasn't typed up a report with your help.
And I don't deserve it! There's a reason it's just kids, because once you get to higher academia everybody sees right through me. They know there are better serif fonts out there. I'm only the number one choice of people who just don't know any better.
Aren't you in books? Scientific papers? I thought the APA recommended you or something.
You're thinking of Garamond and Computer Modern. I wish we didn't get so easily confused. And the APA also suggests Calibri. Calibri! Comic Sans, I honestly don't think you're helping.
Well, you know me. I just don't work well in serious situations.
