so I hear from developers that wishlisting games on Steam is important for them; I vaguely remember that this is not just because people are more likely to buy games they've wishlisted but because having more wishlists gives games some sort of bonus Algorithm Juice. I'm wondering if all wishlists are counted equally or if some are worth more or less than others. My wishlist has over 800 games in it: is me wishlisting a game less of a signal to Steam's algorithm than somebody who has a much shorter wishlist? What if I put the game first on the list? Does anybody actually know for sure how this works or is it all speculation based on what limited data we have?
