Dear Douglass,

I hope i never find out what "boogie boarding" means. it's not that I don't want to know, it's that i specifically want to not know. I like to imagine what it could be. like maybe "boogie boarding" is some type of groovy wall paneling, or a fancy school for the children of the disco elite, or a particular style of plank that wards off monsters if placed beneath the bed, or a special method of mucus-based torture. i like to think about this. i admit that might be actually be interesting to find out the truth about "boogie boarding". i recognize that possibility. but even so. i don't think i could ever willingly give up the thrill of not knowing. the delight of wondering. they say that ignorance is bliss. I don't really have an opinion about that. but that's fine with me that they say that, as long as they don't follow up by then going on to say what exactly "boogie boarding" is. Well. I hope this email finds you.

Best wishes,

dreadwedge
