the Ramoceros

those aren't antlers.
they're branched horns, fixed permanently on their heads. (no seasonal shedding required)
not only that, but it's thought(PDF link) that the horns of mature Ramoceros are probably entirely bony without any keratinous covering like most horns?! (they might start off covered in skin that's then rubbed off like velvet (..also  ignore what wikipedia says (bloop)))

..also, that isn't some weird foreshortening.
one horn is like a third the size of the other one for some reason. (multiple proposed reasons related to sexual selection)

if they were still around, would we be seeing a lot more experimental fantasy branched horns without people pedantically insisting that they're antlers?
i feel like we're pretty limited to ”antlers are branched and bony  and horns are unbranched and also has keratin“ despite fossils showing that it doesn't have to be this way..!
