NodeCore is this minecraft-like game* with the central gimmick being that it doesn't really tell you how to do anything and you're sort of supposed to work out how everything works on your own, like some kind of puzzle game. Also there's no inventory screen. Just recently I have spun up a server of this with some friends, and like, I don't know if it's any good to play solo (you'd want a lot of patience even beyond that needed for survival games) and I don't know if it stays interesting beyond the first few hours, but discovering stone-age tier techology and acting like you're in some sort of important scientific research team is inherently funny. "This 'fire' thing seems like it'll be important to research, could have a lot of uses, but right now I'm prioritising breaking log with stick". We kind of lost it when somebody finally managed to plant a tree. My half-joking suggestion of setting up a "caveman jira" was not appreciated by the rest of the team. It's not exactly like this bit from The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy, but it is what I remember that bit being like.
