do u recommend any teas for beginner teaposters?
good dark oolongs and purple varietal tea was my big intro into doing loose leaf gaiwan brewing. they're great because you pour the water straight out of the kettle as near to boiling as it'll let you and it'll taste great no matter what with a really strong mineral flavor to it. Any good malty style black teas are super forgiving as well like this https://yunnansourcing.com/collections/black-tea-spring-2022/products/yunnan-black-gold-bi-luo-chun-black-tea. Honestly though i'd suggest just buying whatever you have local too, if it's loose big rolled leaves and not straight powder you're likely to have a good time with it. Pu'er tea is about the only one i'd say be a bit careful into diving straight into, the bagged stuff you'll find at a mart smells and tastes like old library and even good quality stuff is fermented so it's liable to look and feel like you're drinking a kind of oil.
most importantly about tea is just trying anything that catches your eye, if whatever you find in your cup tastes good then you're making and enjoying tea and that rules. get a cheapo kettle if you don't have one, and even if it's just a good bagged herbal tea then hey, that works for you and that's what's great.
