this is a truly hilarious artifact to shove into the hands of my life magic practicing Paladin but also for reference i was doing like 36 per round with a broadsword of sharpness before this.
Powerfully Slay Humans and Mana Brand stack, which means i'm going to walk into Camelot (which is full of human knights of every flavor) and absolutely pulverize it between my gauntlets.

are both really interesting in this game. they aren't a damage multiplier like brands and slays are. it just rolls to see if it applies crit like damage On Top Of your regular damage for each blow, even other crits. (also it gives you the combat log equivalent of gibs)Meng Huo is usually the point in the game where it asks you "have you stacked up phase door scrolls to range dangerous melee units yet or at the least acquired some way to inflict confusion?" and my answer this time around was "yes both but im going to just stand still and cleave him in twain"
these earlygame drops have been frankly, incredibly generous. double res on a single piece and a handy activation at a reasonable fail rate is so good.
