I've never played Riven but that lake (?) looks so fantastical and cool. I love the visible brushstrokes here, and your grasp of lighting is so inviting. I could stare up into that sky forever, this all is so damn pretty.

It’s nice thinking about going into the world of Riven and just doing some plein air painting :)

So, I know very little about this game, but when I was a kid, my dad played it and showed it to me. I had no idea what it was called, and I tried to find info about it online to no avail. I only knew what it looked like.

But the first image here jumped out at me. That's it!!

Thank you for contextualizing this thing I saw over twenty years ago. Still never played it, but feels good to know.
