back when i was working at a shitty restaurant job i bought one of these because i wanted a dirt cheap watch that i could bang and get wet without any kind of problems. turns out these particular models fit that bill incredibly well, in fact they're pretty much indestructible and the battery lasts on the ass end of forever. the strap will break before anything serious kills this thing.
as a fun bit i started wearing it military style because it was nice to see the time when i was carrying stuff. i was talking to a buddy of mine who's -really- into high quality watches and i was going on about how this thing is amazing and his response was "oh yeah that's the Unabomber special" which flew miles above my head at the time. well a couple years ago i finally learned what all that was about
