Zortch real good
it's five dollars.
there's also a bundle for Zortch and Chop Goblins for less than the total of ten dollars it would take to purchase them separate. Chop Goblins good too.
there's a lack of these kinds of games where you would devour them in one or two afternoons after picking them up next to the movie theater candy for five or ten bucks. Zortch is a lot more than a couple afternoons especially if you revisit the game on higher difficulties. there's also a blindly perfect level of resource management design which says if you pick up health/ammo that would put you past your capacity, you still get the full amount as a temporary increase to your maximum. loads of references in some levels without being annoying about "hey remember Dead Simple?" but also has plenty of it's own stuff to hang it's hat on.
also there's a kick button and much like Cultic you get extra airtime with it so it acts like half a double jump and it rules.
