the Quake 2 remaster and how much i enjoyed it i feel at least partially correlates with how much bullshit i was willing to put up with and how much i'll go to bat for Red Faction, which i played first and still adore.
this being said if you enjoy either of these games and haven't played the other, i think you'll like it a lot.
if you are planning on playing Quake 2 just play the remaster
