i might need somewhere to live sooner than later. just me, no pets. fixed income, mobility limited. we are looking into alternatives but it is not looking good. i live in michigan right now, and i might have support in connecticut, but i am trying to see what else might be out there.

if you end up going CT, email Circle Care Center and ask about resources.

I don't know what they have, but they'll at least have an idea of where there's likely to be resources, even if you aren't in either of their locations. they're the trans clinic + community center.

they might even be able to help if you aren't moving to the state, but they seem spread very thin lately so I don't know how much they'll be able to do out of state. I don't know them well, but they're my primary care and pharmacy and there's fliers in the office for various sorts of aid/navigation/housing-boards/etc.

regretfully I haven't looked into it much because, well, they're my doctor and I've got a lot of baggage with doctors. I don't know how much they can practically help. But it's there.

the one caveat is that CT disability determination services is, underfunded and pretty rushed (or my... doctors were), in ways that meant my state mandated physical evaluation was basically worthless the first time around (they asked ambiguous things, did not have time for me to clarify). if you're already in the SSI system it might not matter though
