This is an aria caption for this post. A number of images are shown and when you move your cursor over them, the cursor turns into a set of black vertical bars. When moving the bars over the images, a crude moire animation of dots and sinewaves moving around can be seen.

This time I used 12 frames to animate. You get a bit more fidelity in the animation, but smaller details vanish. Lots of tradeoffs in an already limited method for creating animations, but it is interesting to see what is possible.

Will probably put the code for generating these online at some point.
