Rebecca Sugar made a show years ahead of its time in terms of queer representation on a channel with notoriously right leaning management with well considered thoughts about various familial, platonic, and romantic relationships, for children no less, so it's supremely unfair that people in bad faith managed to convince people to hate it anyway because the characters aren't perfectly rational robots and a child on a children's cartoon show didn't kill someone on screen.
