"So...what should I do?" the young man asked, hands clasped in his lap and nervous eyes darting between the figure in front of him and the many trinkets scattered around the room.

The Oracle peered into his future. There were two branching paths. As The Oracle began to consider an answer for him, the future clouded and transformed. In one version, the man held the hand of his wife as they watched their son dance around their house. In another, his daughter rode atop his shoulders at the park as his husband stolled next to them.

"Fate may seem scary," The Oracle finally answered, "but if you stay true to yourself, you will find happiness no matter what path you follow."

The young man thanked The Oracle and turned to leave. Peering back into his future, The Oracle saw a hazy, hopeful uncertainty surrounded by an aura of joy, and beamed at him as he disappeared from sight.
