Can you hear it in the rumble of distant thunder? Can you hear it in the echos of booming bass drums? Can you hear it in the footsteps of giants as their feet make the earth tremble? Can you hear it in the pounding in your ears from your racing heart?
Can you see it in the glow of the fireflies floating up to space? Can you see it in the light bulbs as they burst from overload? Can you see it in the terrifyingly angelic rays cast down from the sun through gaps in the clouds? Can you see it in the depth of their eyes?
Can you smell it in the thorny rose bush behind your house? Can you smell it in the mosh pit of manic, sweat-covered dancers? Can you smell it from the neglected sewers on the side of the street? Can you smell it in their hair, that same scented shampoo they've used for years?
Can you taste it in your freshly brewed tea? Can you taste it in the blood after biting down on your tongue? Can you taste it in the forest air as it carries spores and leaves and rot across the understory? Can you taste on their lips and neck and body?
Can you feel it on the wind that whips up around you? Can you feel it among the aches beneath the bandages and underneath the cast? Can you feel it among the ley lines that crisscross overhead and under your feet? Can you feel it, deep within your body and soul?
Is it an omen?
Is it a curse?
Is it a myth?
Is it love?
Whatever it is,
it Exists,
it is Real,
it is with Us,
and Always will be.
