Ever since discovering them through the messy algorithm of early 2010s YouTube, Explosions In The Sky has been my utmost favorite musical artist. I do not proclaim this with any hesitancy nor with the flippancy of one who is attempting to snag your attention just for an extra click or view. I would not write that about other bands who I have long enjoyed. EITS' music gives me something to fill the gaps of sound in my life, a respite from the silence that otherwise haunts me.

In honor of their new album and likely farewell tour (naturally titled "The End Tour"), this seems like a perfect time to express my feelings for each and every one of their songs. I am excluding their albums produced for movies or television – to concisely explain why, it is because those songs already have a determined story behind them. The ability to imagine a memory or tale or other meaning is what draws me to their music and what keeps bringing me back. That is what I am writing about: not only the musical merits or background behind these songs, but the images they invoke to me, the memories from another universe that break through the cracks of reality.

Without any further ado, I present my ranking of Explosions In The Sky songs.
