Notice that you said "play" and then remember that it's gambling with extra steps. Buy shares in an investment fund or put some away in a price guaranteed account, but don't do stocks because the house always wins.
edit: if you ACTUALLY have an ethics question, like, there's nothing wrong with surviving but if you have money to burn you might wanna put it in a few gofundmes that get circulated on here.
"Money to burn" is- extremely debatable here. If I had anything serious happen to me I would need a gofundme. I'm no day-trader and I don't claim to know that much about every aspect of the market.
I meant in general more like "I could feasibly buy a few stocks now or just do nothing with it and save the money."
I guess unless you're building a part of a commune there's not much "ethically" you can do.
