Ah well whatever. I was just gonna say I thought it was jarring to see queer furries be "anti-communist" but also not especially right wing? Implied stuff about pirating being good so kinda bottom middle-ish.

Oh, I think the most common kind of anticommunism among LGBTQ+ furries in ~queer, broadly~ circles would be the socdem kind, followed by the anarchist kind?
People who generally want a better world, but have either bought into tons of propaganda and/or have a more principled opposition to using sustained force against the bourgeoisie to achieve it.
That definitely sounds familiar. Since I'm still drifting left I would imagine everyone should eventually want the moneyless, stateless Communism.
Personally I think it would be incredibly helpful if Leftist ideas world organize their names by their praxis. How quickly the socialist state must be realized and how much you're willing to do in opposition.
Really, the closest you can get to that is building up a strong knowledge of not just named political movements and ideologies, but also the unnamed currents within that people insist up and down to just be The True Form Of™ some given tendency. 🙃
Which past a certain point could almost be viewed as negligible. If I had a vote that mattered, I'd vote for whatever form of socialism brings us further out of this hellscape.
Sorry I got confused replied here. I wanted to say just like, idk everyone should make like an LGBTQ type alliance. Like everyone is equally good in their strive for the best communism.
If only. :x Much of the fighting is over seriously important strategic differences, and a ton more is… …well, over less important ones.
But yeah, especially in the short and medium terms, we desperately need some degree of strategic alliance between disparate factions with sufficiently similar long-term goals and values.
I feel like most people that talk about politics on the internet will probably never make enough real world changes to worry about a medium and long term. Which frustrating and sad.
It really depends! There's some overlap between "people who are loud about politics online" and "people who get shit done offline".
Hell, the latter category is where basically all of the big, historically significant splits happened. 🙃
So it's like yeah building a community garden or helping build houses or whatever is good but I guess its people being like "well praxis also requires going against capitalism and you used power tools you got from home depot so cringe"
I can see where there would be infighting. Perhaps that is why social media is such an effective weapon against unification. Every single person is everything they've said. You have 10 different reasons to dismiss someone before you even think about them as another member of your class.
Thankfully, stuff along the lines of the example you provided there has at least appeared to me to be moderately uncommon and self-limiting?
It totally exists, but it's less of a thing than, like, fighting over what the role of established unions is in pursuing revolution, or what general form "revolution" should take, or—
