I only realize now that this person was joking for a few points in this video that I took seriously. Just flew right by me and I got into my head over it.

I'd have to watch the video again but the one I definitely remember was like "regretting getting into programming period" and they used an example of making some incredibly unremarkable part of an unremarkable project run just a tiny bit more efficiently.
I guess the money's there but there's an existential thing of not doing anything noteworthy that you can explain easily.
