OK so I have a friend that got their CS degree and I asked them about what it is they do, specifically. They write Fortran and I think they do DevOps?

So I look into Fortran and how it's way over my head and I flunked out of college. BUT I was still curious.

So then I was looking at other stuff. I have taken a programming course before I just did really poorly and I don't remember why.

My take away is this:
• Java is the backbone of like, many major online companies and banks and shit.
• Python is the other market share, may be more beginner friendly and more flexible (?)
• C and C++ are like a muscle cars that go very fast until you fuck something up and they don't.
• Rust is very strict. Reasonably fast. More stable if followed correctly (or it won't allow you to make enough mistakes or something)
