I had a shower thought a while ago: does anyone just like, carve 40k figures out of wood or anything? I figure if you're good at that it'd be less expensive than buying a kit.

some folk 3d print them. i think you're not allowed to use unofficial models in official GW events though.
I get that they gotta sell the models but I remember people saying it was an expensive hobby to actually do in honest. Idk. I guess you could play with friends on table top simulator. There's gotta be mods.
