I don't know how I got on this tangent but I'm reading about superalloys like Austenite and material science even though I flunked out of university because I'm bad at math. It's still interesting.
That and I'm a tiny bit salty that goonstation nerfed material science (at least I've been told) when it was already not super useful outside of mining anyway.
Even engineering doesn't want to try cool alloys or anything. So you can imagine how little it brings to the table.
