Actually apparently it's all a lot more simple that that. All of this comes from a single doctor who's name has "scam" in the related searches for me: Dr Daniel Amen. Which, like firstly; sounds like the name of someone's OC.
In all seriousness: Multiple Doctors, scientists and associations have come out to say their practices are unethical and dangerous. They use SPECT scanning extensively for psychiatric medicine, needlessly exposing radiation directly to the brain.
The "Ring of Fire" is 1 of 7 types he has made up and diagnosed people with. (Albeit 2 of those are just ADD and ADHD)
