Crazy, I know. I figured I'd look into jury duty pay. Cuz as far as I know they're supposed to pay you for not going to work. Makes sense, right?
Here's the kicker: it's more than I make at my job.
I think even my boss makes just slightly more than that, but they have all sorts of bonuses they can get for hitting metrics.
I should have been out of this job a year ago and I checked with the IWW and ideally there's a long course on how to set up a union and that's most likely not gonna happen.
Hell, there's a few people that I know don't like upper management and rich people, but they're- I mean one of em at least supports Trump in a passive way. I get the feeling it'd be a hard sell to anyone older than me.
Somehow the new guy we hired got an offer from a plumber that walked in one day and he's gonna start apprenticeship soon. On one hand I'm glad for him, on the other I'm like what the fuck. I've been here a couple of years and he gets an out almost immediately?
