Ship Test is both rough and incredibly specific. It also reminds me how cancerous /tg/ medical is. If you get hurt or dead you may as well just respawn as a new character. I play video games to get away from chronic illness, Oranges. Wild, I know.

Anyway: I just had a round where everyone on my ship died but me and the ship had 0 medical to speak of. Actually flying the ship around is really awkward and I couldn't find anywhere else to land. Just a whole bunch of nothing until I ran out of gas.

I've learned a few things:

  1. Do not play as the skeletons if you're new. They're mainly RP focused and objectively have nothing good going for them. Takes double damage. If your doctor knows how to heal them it takes forever. Etc.
  2. Let other people drive the ship. I ain't dealing with that.
  3. You will die very fast on /tg/. Unlike Goon there's not chems that can keep you from going into deep crit or start healing out of crit preemptively. Do not try to be a hero unless you have guns or mining equipment.

Reading the Ship Test lore wiki. During my application I told them they were nerds for using homestuck style sprites for different cultures. Got accepted anyway 😎

In all seriousness, it's fairly extensive and a fun setting for each potential background. Not a lot of "NUH UH X CAN'T BE Y BECAUSE Z"
