Basically someone got so mad that their fediverse instance was put on a large block list that they threatened to "contact people who know how to find people in real life"? Allegedly they're near the same major city center.

It's hard to unravel what happened but it looks like this person was exchanging a bunch of reasons the other side is fucked up for putting their instance on a list

I was suggested to take two nyquil and I am definitely feeling it mr krabs.

Not like, high or anything just like a strangle hold of sleep.

Wasted today doing fuck all. That wasn't smart. Oh well.

I'm gonna make a update my to do list tomorrow.

-Finish a DIY thing.
-Clean.
-Do at least one practice test.
-Get over your fear and start a conversation with someone you haven't talked to in a bit.
-Research finance more. Where to invest, at least.

I know that's probably counter to all the Marxism and junk I'm generally agreed on but look: that's not the way things work here. I'm going to have to play the Capitalist game just like everyone else that lives here, including making investments for the future.

I do wonder how it would work in a Marxist/Syndicalist/Communist/whatever society. Like would you just work and assume you get compensation? Are resources irrelevant to work and equally given to everyone? If you save up for a DIY project are you hoarding resources?

Maybe you're just not supposed to expect the same quality of living because it's not sustainable and always creates an oppressive Bourgeois class? If so why should we settle for a lower quality of life?

So Helen Keller was a syndicalist. Apparently there's still Syndicalist magazines/papers that publish here in the US. Think I got started on this by looking up James Connolly. Seems like he was a pretty good guy.

I sound super biased but some of the shit on wikipedia about the IRA/socialist descendants seem a little fishy. Why would a Socialist, Irish nationalist group that's primarily interested in reclaiming northern Ireland want to set a bomb to try and kill the United States president?

Moreover a lot of the references it's giving are to BBC articles that are incredibly vague like this one "In a statement, using a recognized codeword, the republican paramilitary group last night said it deployed the improvised explosive device in Strabane last Thursday." It doesn't say what it was or if there was a message or if the New IRA itself wrote in to be like "yep that was our bomb" or anything. just 'source: (trust me bro)'

I'm probably stepping out of line with another country's politics so I'll stop. I need to get off this weird tangent anyway.
