Image description: A black and white comic featuring my self-insert, an anthro jackdaw, which is a species of small corvid. Panel 1 - Caption: "I had a vivid dream one night about the latest in open-source artistic software." Image: Marc the jackdaw sleeping in a dark room. He's drooling and dreaming of an old CRT computer monitor with a program running. Panel 2 - Caption: "It was called spelliePOP™ and was used to make vector-based animations. / Despite being the passion project of some guy from Iowa, it was quickly becoming the industry standard." Image: A closeup of the computer monitor from the dream before, with more details of spelliePOP™ in view. The tools used in the program are arcane and not very user-friendly-looking. Panel 3 - Caption: "I decided I needed to learn how to use spelliePOP. But bizarrely, it only ran in Steam - there were no installation downloads available." Image: Marc sitting in front of his laptop at his desk, which is installing Steam. He looks annoyed and is saying, "'Open-source' my ass! Tch!" Panel 4 - Caption: "Just as Steam finished its download, I awoke. So convinced was I of its existence and importance, I continued my research. / I picked up my phone and Googled it." Image: A sleep-addled Marc propped up in bed, squinting at his phone in the dark while he taps a search term into it. He's muttering "'Ess... pee... el?'" to himself. Panel 5: Caption: "My search yielded exactly 0 results." Image: A closeup of a failed Google search on an Android phone. The search term was "spelliepop" and no results were found, but Google has helpfully asked if I meant "smelly poop" instead. End description.

Haha, thank you! I experience dream facts way more often than I'd like to admit and have had minor panics about how they'd affect my schedule for the day, or also disappointed they weren't real!
