let's talk awesome stuff. Day of the Devs is turning ten years old! for those who might not know it, this event is a collaboration between Double Fine and iam8bit where we work with a team from all around the industry to check out indie games from diverse teams and share some of our favorites with you! it rules and since the pandemic started, we shifted to a digital format that's put these games in front of thousands of people's eyes
But we're also coming back for an in person event as well. It's entirely free and you'll get to play these amazing games, eat bites of fabulous food, meet amazing developers and more. let's talk about the digital event first:
The Day of the Devs digital showcase will stream TOMORROW at 10AM PT on the Game Awards Twitch channel. It's a tightly focused look that covers some but not all of the games, has special musical performances, and a few ~ deeeep voice ~ world premieres.
For the in person event, that takes place this Saturday, November 5th at the Midway in San Fransisco. You don't need to pay to get in but we do ask that you RSVP since it helps us keep track of all the goodies we'll need. You can sign up at this link here. .
We're incredibly proud of Day of the Devs, which some people have literally called. "the place to be" and "more like guided meditation than advertisement." Which we consider great because it's important to sit, get a closer look at games, and hear from the devs themselves whenever possible.
