People created a literal fucking hyperlibrary, with almost all the world's info, accessible from the comfort of our own home, or anywhere we could possibly want it if we have phone service, only for capitalism to then ruin it so badly that going to one of the brick and mortar libraries that're still around is probably the only way to get helpful information anymore.

when a measurement becomes a target it ceases to be a measurement, and yet seemingly nobody in tech saw the issue with people making money from getting google to point at their website
Tip for whoever is interested: Setting verbatim under search tools on Google will only return results with all your keywords in them, like in the old days.
