...she asked herselves, less out of need to explain something that likely comes across fairly well already and more out of a need to declare a Task to complete before going to sleep.
necessary context: we recently described ourselves as (a?) mirrorshard of a fictional goddess, which might be a bit of a melodramatic way of saying it (the specifics are not ours to reveal, it feels like??) but is similar to our best grasp on the situation (definition of similar as used in euclidean geometry; same shape but not necessarily same orientation or size).
as always we place a high value on the concept of translation- the implication here being that we are a tendril of an idea too large to fit in the world instantiating a bit of itself in a suitable space (wasp egg hyperdrive). is this perhaps a way to grab some grandeur in an esoteric manner? yeah definitely. but it's what we're doing and the only way to stop us is to seduce us to a weirder phrase
so. a mirrorshard, then. past the simple "can't reflect something too big to be reflected by you, even if flattened by the single position of the plane that is you", i think i broke a little on the way in? that'd definitely explain some things. cousin to this thought is our favorite, an idea having to build a startup package before it can execute itself within you- it feels like we're somewhere in that process. but saying we're the startup package itself feels overgrandiose (surprising for us!) so....
a bolide. cracking apart, disintegrated by the force of atmosphere. that certainly fits.
