foxgirl space stations are often monolithic assemblies, almost opulent in comparison to catgirl stations- well-furnished with dedicated laboratory, habitation, hygiene, and control sections. they are painted on the exterior, sometimes with insignia. additions tend to take the form of very small modules hauled up by crew or cargo ships, each providing a bit more functionality- though monolithic stations are sometimes docked together to add more versatility. solar power and heat dissipation are provided by bulky modules that are launched on their own, as well as by smaller keepalive systems on the monolithic segments themselves.
catgirl space stations, initially because of the higher gravity of kolayut, are generally smaller- made of modular parts. in an inverse to the foxgirl style of heavy lifters launching independent modules followed by reusable-capsule hauled small modules, the main catgirl orbital vehicle for many years was an oversized spaceplane with a large cargo bay. as a result, only the first module of a space station tended to launch without a crew to operate it- so most initial modules omit crew accomodations entirely, in favor of large solar power, thermal rejection, and orbital control systems.
