okay this is going to make me sound really full of myself but please bear with me

being on cohost is trippy as fuck

like it's a social media site... where i'm not popular

i only used mastodon for the longest time before signing up here and have shitloads of followers on there from posting bunches every single day for six years so yeah lol

i post a selfie on here and instead of ten notifs within a minute like on there i'll get ten in maybe a day if at all

it's not bad, it's just a different pace. and i've been really enjoying it

it's a lot cozier, and very refreshing

i wouldn't make it my ONLY social media experience personally but it's a nice supplement

a nice place to go to calm down when fedi is too overwhelming

and i can definitely see why for some people having this as their sole social media usage would be a good thing lol

i looked through follows and followed peeps back

i gotta remember to not let those pile up like on mastodon lmao

it quickly becomes too much to manage

like i SHOULD follow and be followed by roughly 3,000 people on there

but i haven't been able to get myself to look through all my new follows to follow back since the twitter wave happened

so it's like 1,700 following / 3,000 followers rn 😭

and i keep saying i'm gonna do it

but i keep putting it off

because i did the math

and it would take legiterally like ten hours even if i only dedicated 30 seconds to skimming each profile

so yeah cohost is a lot cozier lmao
