coined the term "fuck-em-up" to refer to any game that invites you to act like a psycho. Its less a genre and more a mentality of rewarding the player to act wildly aggressive. Revengence, Ninja Gaiden, God Hand, and some DMC games fall into this category.
Wo Long, Bloodborne and Pizza Tower are all Fuck-Em-Ups. Constant aggressive forward pressure. Naruto running into a horde of enemies. Do not look backward, that shit is for cowards.
If you haven't tried any of the Dynasty Warriors games, this is the entire point
Press a button, watch a cool animation and watch 50 people get launched into the sky
And the best part is, the formula is so good that there's so many different flavors such as Hyrule Warriors, Dynasty Warriors Gundam One Piece Pirate Warriors, just add Warriors to a series and go nuts

Ah I didn't look at the thread, yeah that's fair. Ever hear of Rollerdrome? If you can handle the skating gameplay then it's just you in an arena of baddies that you need to kill while looking cool doing it
This term makes me think of ULTRAKILL as you gain health through violence and getting close to enemies
A game that isn't out yet but the demo comes to mind is Laika: Aged Through Blood, as you have to do tricks with your bike to get ammo back. So you have to move to engage in combat
There's a good ass Doom mod called Go Medieval On Their Asses (GMOTA) that has this kind of feeling, especially on the easier difficulties.
Also got this sort of feeling from trying to get full combos on Hotline Miami levels. It really changes the pace and feel of the game when you have the combo timer forcing you to keep killing instead of catching your breath after each room.
