I'm a big fan of toxtricity, I appreciate the punk look they gave them along with the playing their chest like a guitar. I always thought it was a really cool and clever design.
My most interesting electronic malfunction is kind of the opposite really, it's more of an electronic functioning despite what it went through. I was working at a pizza hut at the time and was getting ready to leave when I was asked to carry a couple things to the back. I was listening to music on my phone and speaker and ended up just throwing them on top of the box I was carrying. As I walked past the deep fryers, I ended up bumping my hip against the corner of machine, and the resulting shake caused my phone to slip off the box and directly into the fryer. It took me about a minute of maneuvering boxes and the cleaning brush to be able to pull it out. Obviously the screen had gone dark and the music had stopped due to overheating. So I immediately pull off my case and take the back off the phone before dabbing as much oil as I could off everything and then throwing it all in the freezer to cool down.
To my surprise, that phone ended up not only still working, but it lived for another two years before the internal antenna died. The only thing wrong with it was fryer oil got into the camera lenses and I didn't notice at first but after a couple weeks stuff started growing in it and my phone acted kinda like a microscope after that.
